Throughout the trial period, you`ll receive emails that will provided hints and tips about the system to help you get acquainted with the process.

How can I get my group started with this emergency action alert technology?

Once you sign up for the free trail of the emergency action alert system, you will receive a link to a sign up form that you can send to your school or group. When someone fills out this form from your link, their information will be automatically added to your group list.

You can also use this link as a link to include on your school or group website or email newsletters. Also, once you login to your account and go to the settings page, there is a link to get code so that the signup form will be on your website.

Are there hidden costs for using this system?

Users that signup and have a text messaging option selected on their current wireless plan will not incur any additional costs. If users do not have a txt message plan on their cell phones, their wireless carrier may have penalties for receiving txt messages.

2. It is often less time-consuming to send a text message than to make a phone call or send an e-mail.

3. The message is received instantly if the recipient`s phone is turned on.

4. Unlike email and instant messaging (IM), it doesn`t require you to be at your computer.

5. Deaf and hearing-impaired people can communicate via text messages.

How fast will I receive alerts?

Text messages are usually received moments after the messages have been sent. Any message sent from Emergency Action Alert System, will be received by list recipients within minutes. However, certain factors can delay the delivery of text messages, including server capacity, network congestion and carrier traffic.

Can I reply to the txt messages that are sent from this system?

No, In the Emergency Action Alert System, you cannot reply to the messages sent from the system. This is set up so that the list administrator does not get bombarded with reply messages after sending out a message to all the list members.

Can I, as a parent, add my child`s cell phone number?

Yes, your child can be signed up and added to the list to receive txt and email messages.

Can I, as a parent, send alerts from the system?

No. The only person allowed to send messages from the Emergency Action Alert System is the Group account holder.

Can I send messages to just my staff & students, or just to parents only?

Yes, in this system, you can select any combination of Staff, Parents, and/or Students to send messages. So you could send event alerts to parents, for instance. Or, school event reminders to students. Or Emergency information to students, parents and Staff.
